I am a aural tuner. I use no machines and start my tuning with an A-440 tuning fork. This addresses the problem of inharmonicity in the strings more effectively than machine tuning typically achieves. My temperament is second to none. I have a very stable tuning technique involving setting the tuning pin under pressure, which encourages stability. My clients include DANK Haus Chicago, Million Yen Studios, and Ravinia Festval Association, and many serious musicians as well as ordinary families and individuals. I specialize in Steinway tuning, regulation and repair. My rates are competitive. Standard tuning--$150.00. Pitch raise tuning--$50 surcharge.
